Gathering Timetable

Of necessity, we have had to remove the menu system and reduce some text sizes on this page.

It may be easier to read the word processed Gathering timetable, (an .RTF file, link opens in new window). This should also print out in a better format.

If one of the workshops interests you, you may like to read up on it through one of the links on the What are the issues? page.

When you have finished, select Back to "What will happen?".

  2. Why do you remain involved?

Gathering-wide discussion: The idea is to look at where we would like to be and the types of political activity that help or hinder getting there. Based around three questions:

  1. Where would you like to see us in 5 years time?
  2. What aspects of political activity helps or hinders social transformation / revolution / insurrection / capitalism?
  3. Finally, What do you think is the most important thing to work on now?

This may include discussions on both "what do we do" and "how do we do it", and might include "summit hopping", the role of carnivalesque actions, single-issue campaigns, what solidarity means, sexism, racism, working with other groups.

Lunch
3.00-5.00

Gathering-wide discussion: Having understood peoples motivations for coming to the gathering and what types of activity are believed to be valuable, this session is for people to discuss what they might want to work on over the next year. We will split groups by the broad themes that have come up in discussions.

We plan to attempt to see if there is consensus on what to work on. But, consensus is not the goal of this session. It is possible that a few major topics want to be pursued. The central questions for this session are, "what tactically is the best thing, or things, to work on?", "what am I into working on?"
